Actually, Pwner, if you read my signature, that's gonna happen. See, iOS 5 is aimed at exactly that with the "PC Free" and the Over the Air updates, they are pretty much trying to cut off communications with Mac or PC - Whichever you have, and every single jailbreak (with the exception of www.jailbreakme.com) has required a PC-iDevice communication.

The only thing that ticks me off is that Apple hired comex, thus ending JailbreakMe... If I knew about how to hack the iOS File structure, I'd recreate JailbreakMe to help.

Don't worry though, iOS 5 has some new features that I want, but I'm not upgrading until I can Jailbreak.

Well, I said I wouldn't upgrade till it was jailbroken, but I was forced to upgrade, and I don't have any SHSH blobs since i just bought a new iPhone 4 already on iOS 5! Besides, My parents said I can't jailbreak this iPhone. Rolling Eyes No

Adter installing IOS 5 my Ipad 1 slows down considerably. Apps take time to start and especially the writing is so slow that I actually I cannot use the Pad anyomore. I udgraded only because I could not update imoorstant apps (keypad, pages) anymore with the old operating system. But this is no solution. Anyone elseexperiencing this problem or am I the only one?

Loma44, I dont have an iPad but the fact that your iPad is slowing down so considerably is very curious...

I would attempt to re-boot the ipad. That will clear up memory. If not, I would either downgrade to whatever firmware you were on before, jailbreak, and download the older versions of the apps that you use, or write apple about that.

By the way, Welcome to the forums! It's good to see someone new around here! Smile

BTW if you haven't already known, DO NOT UPDATE TO 5.1 !!!!!!!!! If you do, there is not an untethered jailbreak (except for old 3gs). Yes, there is an untether for 5.0.1 try redsn0w 0.9.10b3

Ugh... That is the ONE reason I haven't updated. 5.0.1 was so buggy though is the issue.
